
Jim Barlow is a trial lawyer with over 40 years of trial experience in state and federal courts. Current representations include significant business, plaintiffs’ personal injury, and marriage dissolution cases involving substantial assets. Mr. Barlow is a founding partner of Barlow Garsek & Simon, LLP.
Mr. Barlow’s trial and appellate experience was gained in many Texas counties, trials outside Texas, cases before many Texas Courts of Appeal and the Texas Supreme Court. Mr. Barlow has also appeared before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuits. He has won multimillion-dollar verdicts and judgments for his clients, including a $55 million verdict and a $66 million judgment.
Mr. Barlow is involved in many legal and civic endeavors, providing leadership to the State Bar of Texas, the Tarrant County Bar Association, the University of Texas Law School Alumni Association, the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court. He is also a past lecturer in Advanced Courses for the State Bar of Texas, and is a Life Fellow or Sustainer in the American, Texas, and Tarrant Bar Foundations.
