
Elliott Garsek, a founder of Barlow Garsek & Simon, LLP, is a transactional attorney whose practice focuses on corporate, banking, real estate, and estate planning matters. Mr. Garsek is an experienced civil trial lawyer, and he regularly advises clients regarding pre-litigation matters. He serves a wide range of business clients, including publicly held corporations, in industries such as banking, real estate investment, pharmaceutical manufacturing, clothing manufacturing, general contracting, and automobile dealerships, among others. In addition, Mr. Garsek is a trained and practicing mediator.
Mr. Garsek is active in the Fort Worth business community and currently serves on the boards of Westmoor Corp. and all of its related entities; Summit Bancshares, Inc., a publicly held bank holding company; and Summit Bank, N.A., where he chairs the Executive Committee and serves on various other committees, including the Directors’ Loan Committee and the trust committee.
Mr. Garsek also makes time to give back to the community by volunteering his time with a number of noted Fort Worth organizations. He has been president and chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of Colonial Country Club, where he has held numerous offices and where he was named Tournament Chairman for the Club’s 2005, 2006, and current 2007 annual PGA TOUR event, now called the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Other board affiliations include Fort Worth Streams and Valleys, DD/FWHDS Supporting Foundation, the Gladney Cup Board of Governors, the Endowment Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, and the Texas Alliance of Recreational Organizations, Inc.
Mr. Garsek is a member of the Downtown Rotary Club of Fort Worth, the Tarrant County Bar Association, and the Texas State Bar Association. He is a member and Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and he is also a sustaining Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
